Mexico is a very vast country that has multiple landscapes and weather conditions according to the region and season.
So we will divide the regions according to some of the most beautiful areas in the country to visit.
Yucatan peninsula and Mayan region
This is huge area of 40,000 square km
This is a mainly warm region with temperatures running from 12° C to 35 °C (53 °F to 95F°) and with a high humidity all year round.
The rainy season starts around mid July until end of October
The average temperature from march until beginning of November is about 32°C (90F°) during the day and 28°C (82 F) during the night.
Then in November starts to descend gradually as the cold fronts from the north, USA and Canada begin to blow down south, these cold fronts usually lasts about 4-5 days bringing down the temperature from 12°C (53° F) the coldest (maybe just 4 – 6 days during winter season to 27 ° (80° F) during the day.
As a tropical coast to the Atlantic ocean, the region is sometimes hit by hurricanes and storms, not that often really but officially the hurricane season starts in may and ends in November.
Another factor to consider when to travel to the Yucatan is the touristic seasons, being the most crowded in the Christmas season from December 15th until January 7th as well as easter weeks when the area gets more visitors, and the hot touristic spots like Cancun, Riviera Maya, Tulum and the most common landmarks as Chichen itza, Tulum, Coba, Isla Mujeres, etc…, as well as hotels and theme parks can be very crowded, not mentioning that flights and accommodation rise their prices considerably too.
So, according to your travel dates and plans, you can consider these aspects to choose the right season for your trip.

Mexico city and central region
This consists on a high plateau reaching an altitude of 2,240 meters over the sea level ( 7350 feet) where high volcanoes with snow summits survey the region sometimes with active volcanoes.
This is mainly a template area with temperatures going on from 0° C in the coldest nights of winter to 30° C in the warmest days of spring and summer. In this area the rainy season starts around mid June until end of September.

Chiapas and Oaxaca
These 2 states are massive and with huge contrasts in their landscape, altitude comes from 2,500 meters high all the way down to the south coast of the Pacific.
The coast line is mainly warm the whole year round sharing the hurricane season as the Yucatan from the month of may until November.
Following south to the highlands of Chiapas, you can find towns like San Cristobal de las Casas in the middle of the mountain range and pine trees where the temperatures can go down below 2°C (35°F)

Northern Mexico and northern Pacific coast
This is a vast area where distances between different destinations can be thousands of kms and so the different landscapes can go from high mountains, deserts and beautiful coastlines.
The temperature can go from 40 ° (104° F) during winter season to -2° (23° F) during the summer.
